The plankton-enriched warm water provides a tranquil home to a great diversity of marine life such as white eyed moray eels, blue spotted sting rays, giant groupers and various nudibranches. Schools of colourful reef-fish patrol the reefs, often creating various fish highways. Our reefs themselves are impressively made up of numerous soft and hard corals.
Deep dive sites are rare around Koh Chang, but there are a few we can offer such as the HTMS Chang, the largest wreck in Thailand and The Pinnacles, near Koh Rang. Most dive sites are great Multi-level sites, from 5m to max. 16m – 18m depth. That allows you long dive times, dives up to 1 hour are not rare.
The water is a comfortable temperature is 28˚C to 32˚C therefore a thin Wetsuit/Shorty or Lycra is recommended, but not necessary. Visibility can reach 30m but is variable, most of the time it is around 15m.
Diving is available the whole year round. The diving conditions can vary throughout the seasons; however there is always plenty of marine life to discover.
